PM Modi to Attend Uttarakhand Silver Jubilee Celebration at FRI Dehradun on November 9

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviews preparations — Grand state-level celebration to mark 25 years of Uttarakhand’s formation


Dehradun: Uttarakhand is set to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of its Statehood on November 9, marking 25 glorious years of its formation. The main state-level event will be held at the historic Forest Research Institute (FRI) campus in Dehradun, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.

After attending the special session of the State Legislative Assembly on Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the FRI campus to inspect the on-ground preparations for the mega event. He reviewed the arrangements related to stage setup, security, traffic management, cultural performances, guest reception, and seating facilities.

The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that every aspect of the celebration is well-organized, dignified, and culturally vibrant. He emphasized that this historic occasion represents Uttarakhand’s 25-year journey of progress, perseverance, and achievements.

“The Silver Jubilee celebration, graced by the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be a moment of great pride and inspiration for the people of Uttarakhand,” said Chief Minister Dhami. “This event will reflect the spirit, emotions, and aspirations of our state as we move towards a brighter future.”

Senior officials including Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey (Secretary), Vinay Shankar Pandey (Garhwal Commissioner), Rajeev Swaroop (IG Garhwal), and Banshidhar Tiwari (Additional Secretary) were also present during the inspection.
