New Delhi/Dehradun: The Chief Minister has issued strict instructions to officials to ensure the timely resolution of public grievances received through the CM Helpline 1905. He emphasized that officers failing to address complaints on time must be held accountable. Show cause notices should be issued to those with a high number of pending complaints, and strict action should be taken in cases of negligence.
While virtually reviewing the CM Helpline 1905 from New Delhi on Wednesday, the Chief Minister reiterated that the government is for the people and it is its duty to address public concerns promptly. Expressing dissatisfaction over delays in grievance redressal within the Revenue, Forest, and Education Departments, he instructed that concerned officers be asked to provide explanations for prolonged pendency. He further directed all District Magistrates to regularly monitor revenue-related matters and identify the reasons behind recurring complaints in specific areas to formulate appropriate solutions.
CM Dhami stressed that problems should be resolved at the lowest level possible to prevent unnecessary escalation. Officers failing to address grievances at their level should also be held accountable. To encourage efficiency, he suggested honoring officers who promptly resolve complaints through the CM Helpline.
