Over 26,000 Youths Have Secured Government Jobs So Far — Transparency Is Our Identity, Says Chief Minister Dhami

Dehradun — Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami distributed appointment letters to the newly selected Assistant Review Officers and Review Officers of the Revenue Council at a ceremony held at his Camp Office, Chief Minister’s Residence, on Saturday.

Extending his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the appointees, the Chief Minister said that receiving appointment letters just before Diwali is a moment of special joy for the new employees and their families. He also congratulated their family members for this proud achievement.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to providing employment opportunities, CM Dhami said that in the past four years, over 26,500 youths have been appointed to government positions across the state. He reiterated that the state government’s goal is to continue the recruitment process as a mission driven by transparency, fairness, and merit.

Referring to a recent examination-related case in Haridwar, the Chief Minister said that immediate action was taken — the accused was arrested, and an SIT was formed to investigate the matter. Considering the sentiments of the candidates, he personally met the students and decided to cancel the examination and recommend a CBI probe.

CM Dhami emphasized that in recent years, all competitive examinations in the state have been conducted with complete transparency and integrity. He made it clear that there is zero tolerance for corruption or irregularities in recruitment processes.

“Since our government took office, we have launched a campaign to fill vacant posts through a transparent recruitment process. Thousands of young people have since secured government jobs,” the Chief Minister stated. “This campaign will continue with the same transparency and momentum.”

Addressing the new officers, the Chief Minister urged them to consider government service as a means of serving the people, and to discharge their duties with dedication, honesty, and fairness. He stressed the importance of simplification and speed in administrative processes, ensuring that citizens receive services quickly and efficiently.

The program was attended by Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan, Secretary S.N. Pandey, Additional Secretary Ranjana Rajguru, officers of the Revenue Council, and the newly appointed Assistant Review Officers and Review Officers.
